Our Leadership

As President of EFAA, Tesfaye Derese leads the association's efforts to regulate the advocacy profession and promote the highest standards of professional conduct across Ethiopia. With over two decades of legal experience, he has expertise in corporate and commercial law, banking and finance, real estate, intellectual property, employment law, and litigation. He previously served as a member of the Ethiopian Lawyers Association Executive Committee.

As Vice President, Meseret Ayalew supports EFAA's initiatives and works to advance the interests of advocates nationwide. She previously served as Vice President and Executive Committee member of the Ethiopian Lawyers Association. Her priorities include securing a permanent headquarters for EFAA, reforming CPD into a professional system, launching legal awareness programs, and delivering research-driven strategic blueprints.
